Description
Performance, Glide & Versatility
This pack has been designed to meet the specific requirements of modern Downwind. It combines a board with a studied shape and the most rigid components from our range to ensure perfect effort transmission.
The Board: An optimized shape for take-off Our boards feature an elongated oval shape, typical of high-performance Downwind SUPs. This silhouette ensures the optimum glide necessary to take off in light winds or during a paddle start (Flat Start).
Shape Innovations : The concave Nose and Tail, along with increased stability at rest (thanks to an advanced flat section), facilitate take-off in the swell.
Reference Dimensions : For Flat Start experts, we recommend the 8.4 x 18 (112L), a board weighing less than 6 kg capable of handling conditions up to 2.5m at sea.
Versatility : Ideal for SUPfoiling in larger sizes, or for ParaWing/Wingfoiling on more compact models (see the Ketos ML).
The Foil : Rigidity and Glide To pilot such a board, the choice of foil is crucial:
KOBUN Wing : The culmination of our research in DW. It offers the magical combination of lift (glide) and maneuverability to connect swell trains effortlessly.
Ultra 2 Mast or Vario Stiff UHM : These masts eliminate any unwanted flex. In Downwind, this stiffness is your ally to maintain control during high-speed swell descents and to pump with maximum efficiency.
Fuselage and Tail : The assembly is articulated around the Klever Fuselage :
The "Performance" setup (Klever M / PT35) : This is the reference setup to maximize performance downwind. With this M fuselage and the PT35 tail, you achieve increased directional stability and excellent ability to maintain your inertia over long sections of swell.
The "Engaged" setup (Klever S / PT35) : This setup with the S fuselage allows for complete foil release. It is ideal if you are looking for extreme maneuverability to execute radical turns in the trough of the wave or to increase pumping frequency during reconnections.
