Après plus de 2 ans de développement depuis la sortie de notre désormais mythique 1570LD, la 166LD va à nouveau bousculer les codes de la longue distance en pump. Plus rapide, moins énergivore, une glisse infinie pour explorer de nouvelles limites qui étaient hier encore inaccessibles. Lors de sa prise en main, notre rider Modjo à explosé son record de vitesse du 50km en 3h02. Ça donne le ton!

A worthy successor to the 1570LD

We hesitated to call it the LE MANS 166 LD, as this kite is designed solely for records and speed, like the FORD GT40 and FERARI.

The 166LD follows in the footsteps of the legendary 1570LD, which made pumping history by setting speed records:

In 2024, Sébastien Saugy reached 16.8 km/h over one hour of pumping.

In 2025, Anthony Mauger (@Modjolafrite) confirmed this supremacy with an exceptional performance of 18km in 1 hour.

These feats established the 1570LD as the absolute benchmark, and the 166LD extends this legacy by pushing the limits even further.

When he first got his hands on the 166LD, Modjo shattered his 50km record in 3 hours and 2 minutes, non-stop. We couldn’t have imagined such a performance achievable just a few months ago.

A kite with exclusive performance

This kite is reserved for owners of ULTRA 2 and FORTRESS masts, to fully exploit the performance through the mast’s rigidity.

Despite its 1.66m wingspan, this kite can be launched by most good pumpers, though it’s not exactly a kite for everyone. A rare product, a season ahead of other kites on the market.
